Nestled in the heart of Tom Nevers East, The Compass Rose has taken shape as a symbol of contemporary elegance and sophistication. The house boasts a meticulously designed layout that seamlessly blends practicality with aesthetics. A modern and spacious 3-bedroom floor plan, complemented by an attached studio apartment is an innovative touch catering to buyers seeking additional space for a home office, an art studio, or a creative sanctuary. The basement studio has a garden and deep open window wells which create a bright and airy space. The construction materials selected exemplify a commitment to quality and sustainability.  Inspired by The Grey Lady herself, the interiors mix cool, happy shades of grey with a full spectrum of sand tones. Every aspect is customized: the warm stain on the French oak plank flooring,  the blue of the walls and ceiling in the TV room, and the juxtaposition of the antique newel posts and modern glass banister, just to name a few.  As an homage to the island of Nantucket, exterior walls filled with windows take in expansive blue skies and deep greens of the iconic Tom Nevers landscape, thus balancing the soft, natural tones of the interior furnishings. Set due north with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sankaty Head Lighthouse, the Milky Way lights up the night sky, while in the master suite, guests fall asleep to the lighthouse blinking, and wake to see pinks and yellows filling the windows as the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean.

Breaking ground on The Compass Rose marked the second phase of building the compass rose. The initial phase was, of course, the design phase. Space planning is the heart and soul of a home. After ACKommodation designed the perfect floor plans, an architect was hired to complete the exterior. An innovative approach to residential construction for sure. The results? Fabulous.
